We had an amazing experience at Meys Dikwella! The hotel is exceptionally clean, beautifully maintained and has a very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.
The staff was incredibly friendly, polite and always ready to help. The food was fresh and delicious. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable.
It was a perfect getaway. Value for money and great hospitality. We truly felt at home. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a calm and lovely stay!

The property
The property feels brand new, like it has just been built and you are the first guests to stay in it. The furnishing, decor and design of the place is really beautiful, from the iconic front entrance into the pool area, up the beautiful wooden stairs into the building and all the way up into your room.
The rooms are large with high ceilings, quality AC, ceiling fan and a refrigerator for keeping drinks cold. They have large comfortable beds and quality furnishings and mirrors. The bathrooms are extremely modern wet room style with quality shower/sink/toilet, that add to the premium feel.
The rooms live up to their soundproof claim too. We were always surprised whenever we bumped into fellow guests in a a common area, as we’d heard no evidence of them from noise in other rooms, making us feel as if we had the place to ourselves.
Rooms are spotless upon check in and common areas are clearly cleaned a lot
The hosts
Pabasara, his wife Nishani and their main staff (Chanusha?) went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The great communication from the moment our booking was confirmed and extremely friendly check in experience with Nishani made us feel at ease right away. They were always just a WhatsApp away for answering our questions about the area and for services such as laundry etc.
Cannot find any fault with the property or our hosts. Our first two nights were so good we extended our stay another two!
Only possible suggestion we could think of is perhaps an information sheet in rooms or whiteboard in common area answering common FAQs such as pool rules / opening times, breakfast hours, map of public/private areas of the property, local recommendations/services etc.
All of the above were answered with prompt friendly WhatsApp messages, but I imagine this may get a bit exhausting for Pabasara and Nishani as Meys no doubt becomes the busy success it was always going to be once the word gets out!

The stay at Meys is situated in a lovely hillside location and within walking distance even with surfboards to be a comfortable stay in the Dickwella/Hiriketiya region. Fresh fruit juices, pool swims and a nice family atmosphere to make you feel welcomed.
We had a regional power outage not to the discredit of the Meys team, we'd have spent more time around the premises albeit it was a little humid. Shoulder seasons, this is expected.

New and clean place to stay, run by a sweet family. Having a secure garage to park our tuk tuk was a huge bonus. The pool was beautiful! Could do with more deck lounges to relax on. The linen & towels provided (both bath & pool/beach towels) were luxurious. The bed was so comfortable! The bathroom had very modern fixings.
The breakfast was lovely. Wish we could've stayed longer.
Nothing but suggestions- I think guests should have access to enter at night without needing the manager to open the gate. We didnt want to stay out too late and be an inconvenience. The room balcony was nice but a chairs could be added.
