The best part of our stay was the host, who would stop at nothing to make our stay comfortable. The villa was gorgeous and very spacious. It’s basically a villa with 5-6 bedrooms. 2 on the lower floor and rest on the upper floor. Every room had complete privacy. There’s a fully equipped common kitchen cum dining on the lower floor and a verandah seating. Beds were comfortable, room & bathroom clean, bright and airy. Location was excellent. 7 mins walk to Dickwella Beach and 7 mins tuktuk ride to Hiriketiya costing 220 rupees one way. We booked tuktuks on Pickme app. Cargills supermarket is 4 mins walk. There aren’t a lot of restaurants around though. We went to STS Grand close by, a lovely local Sri Lankan restaurant by the beach, almost every evening. Good food great prices. Only scope for improvement was the unpleasant smell that sometimes comes out of the bathroom. It goes away as soon as we open the window though. Also it would be great if the washing machine could be used by guests. Having said that we would go back there in a heartbeat.
Guests were not allowed to use the washing machine which was kept right there in the common kitchen. Charging 700 rupees per kilogram to be washed by the host when guests could easily do the same, was a bit outrageous we think.

We were a group of eight friends and had an excellent stay here—cooking, relaxing, and spending quality time together. The property is very close to Dickwella Beach, and Hiriketiya is just a short tuk-tuk ride away (around 400 LKR), though it’s also walkable.
Despite being near the main road, the place is surprisingly quiet, making it ideal for groups. Our host, Chamila, was warm, welcoming, and always helpful—he even treated us to cake.
The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and well-maintained, which added to the overall comfort of our stay.
Nothing to dislike.

Staying here was like staying at your mum and dads. It was so well maintained and run very well. While it’s not in the hustle, it’s easy enough to get to by walking or tuk tuk. I highly rate this little sanctuary. Beautifully minimalist, functional and clean. The owners are caring and kind and a lovely presence when needed.

This is a great location close to both Dickwella beach (great for kids) and Hiri beach (good for surf and more party vibe - also smaller so gets a lot more busy). The room is very big and it has a great hot shower (rare!). There are shared kitchen facilities.
There were quite a lot of ants in the kitchen - know this is hard to combat though when in tropical climate and people leaving things out
