Short stay in Marylebone

It's a small apartment in relatively nice neighbourhood. Apartment is big enough for three persons to stay there for three nights, if you are not looking for a luxury stay. Beds are comfortable, same for pillows. Third person can sleep on comfortable folding couch. Big bathroom with comfortable shower, we also had all the amenities included, like towels, shower gel, etc. Kitchen is equipped well for small cooking. It's very easy to reach by walk (5min) underground trains on three different lines, so very easy to get to the city. Shops around are open till night, some of them even 24x7. There's plenty of small restaurants around of world wide kitchen, you can either sit there or take away food home.

Honestly nothing, everything was fine and pretty much meeting our expectations.

Fine Enough if in a Pinch

Excellent and well connected location. Nice to have a space to accommodate a small group + kitchen in central London. This wouldn't be my first choice, but was fine enough for a last minute booking.

Communication with the hosts was difficult and disjointed with multiple people involved. We didn't receive check-in info until asking several times, and it finally arrived less than an hour before our arrival. Other smaller issues with the property took several hours to answer so went unresolved. Unit was very loud with neighbors in/out, even with the sound machine we brought. Unit was very random in furnishings - booking for 4 only had 2 towels, 3 pillows, no pans for the oven, lots of rinse aid for the dishwasher but no actual soap, etc. This wouldn't be my first choice for lodging, but it was fine enough for a last minute booking.

6 / 10

Location was ok but did not expect Unit to virtually be underground and entry exposed to weather🥴!

Close to Underground and walking distance to M&S and Paddington.

Property was booked for 4 x adults so use of sofa bed was requested upon booking and paid for. Very disappointed we had to search unit for extra bed linen and make up the extra bed!!?? Also, there was no light switch or power point in Bathroom … sensor lighting kept going off in middle of showering!!

A well-located and functional place with a helpful host, but with a few environmental factors.

We had a pleasant stay overall. The check-in instructions were very clear, and the apartment was easy to find. The host was responsive and helpful, which made things smoother. The location is excellent — just a short walk to the underground, with a Marks & Spencer (food) and Sainsbury’s nearby, which was very convenient. We stayed here while attending the cricket at Lords, and being able to walk to the stadium was a real bonus. The apartment was clean and well-prepared. We requested linen for the sleeper couch and it was provided. The linen was crisp and clean, which we appreciated.

That said, there were a few drawbacks. There was a persistent sewerage smell on the balcony, which we often noticed inside the apartment as well. While this is likely beyond the host’s control, it was unfortunately unpleasant. The neighbourhood is understandably noisy (it’s central London, after all), but our immediate neighbours were particularly loud, shouting until 1:00 a.m. one night. Lastly, I would have preferred a clean, dry dishcloth in the kitchen rather than a wet and dirty sponge for rinsing dishes.
