nice design, convenient location
there were a lot of beds in the shared bunk rooms, so more noise from the neighbours. the shared kitchen is very small and microwave and hot water is located separately in the lobby bit inconvenient

Breakfast was awesome for the price, the hotel was clean and well maintained and the staff was very professional. Bed was very comfortable!
The location is a little bit away from the main attractions in onomichi, unfortunately the door has a gap at the bottom so you can hear all noises from the communal bathroom (but I acknowledge our room was the nearest one to it).

It’s a really well designed hostel, a lot of thought has gone into the aesthetics and it’s definitely pretty
The rooms are big and spacious and with plenty of room to repack your bag
They offer a wash and dry service for clothes
It’s not super far away but still a bit of a walk with your backpack
You can’t wash your own clothes, you hand them over and they are returned to you. I had a nice convo with the guy working there initially but after an interaction where the conversation made me feel a little uneasy about being a solo female traveller in a quiet area I made a conscious effort to avoid more talks. I know it’s my own experience and maybe I took it deeply, I also I can’t see any reviews to give a similar vibe that people felt uneasy but I think it’s still worth a mention.
Nothing very social going on here but got chatting to someone in my dorm and we shared a drink at the bar in the evening
