my first nite of an extensive trip through UK .. and it will be hard to find another property that is as good as this.. dont get me wrong it likely wont suit everyone .. it was built in 1833 and is just wonderful - so full of character - but what makes it memorable is the staff ..couldnt do enough to make you feel welcome and meals (dinner and Breakfast) were both fabulous .. i would be back here in a heartbeat if circumstances allow .. love love loved it

Hotel staff are amazing never anything too much and always friendly and cheery even if somethings gone slightly upside down (internet fail on our second to last night out of their control), freshly cooked food was always amazing, some rooms are in the process of being updated but our bedroom was loveky but bathroom needed a bit of tlc for the bath. Defi ately will be returning next year to see them :)
