The lawn and beach area was lovely. The room was very nice and clean. Only down side was the outside traffic was pretty loud on street side rooms

Located off State Road 31 near downtown, Traverse City's Beach Haus is a jewel tucked in with similar lodgings. What sets this one apart, is the beach view. One can hear the waves hitting the beach and whether one has a balcony or simply a lake view, the lake is almost as much a part of the hotel as the rooms. The staff I dealt with, including Alicia and OJ, were first-rate and were knowledgeable about local eateries and attractions around town. The hotel has been around since 1968 and indeed, it harkens back to another time while also combining with modern conveniences modern-day travelers have come to expect. The cleaning staff was efficient and restocked various items and a thoughtful member of the staff arranged a towel in the shape of a heart, which was a nice touch.
