Top TIER. I arrived July 11th to a different company resort in Playa Del Carmen but it was not at all like the pictures or reviews. I quickly had to find a new resort and Dreams Sands in Cancun came highly recommended. They were so patient with me making the sudden change of hotels and assured me the best experience. I was upgraded to an ocean view and the staff were IMPECCABLE. The food and drinks are good and the staff goes above and beyond. I asked the bartender for some coconut oil so I could tan better and expected a small portion but he gave me a whole new container and best believe my tan was amazing after. Really happy Dreams turned my experience around for the better. 100% would go back and already miss it.

The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly and very helpful. Rooms are good size and the food was good but limited places to eat until dinner time. Bars closed early, liquor seemed weaker than what we get in Texas. Not much entertainment within the resort. I was there during the 2026 FIFA World Cup and games were only shown on one TV, even when Mexico and the United States played their games. The part of the ocean at the resort is rocky and was not clear during our stay due to seaweed and algae. Also this part of the Island does not have waves.
