Air Conditioning was not functioning for the entirety of our stay- so uncomfortable.

We reported the A/C problem upon arrival and the host attempted to have it addressed the following day, but it was never repaired during our stay. After our second and final night without A/C, the host messaged us that they had been unable to resolve the problem and that “a specialized plumber will come tomorrow morning to fix it.” Unfortunately, “tomorrow morning” was the morning we were checking out, so the repair was of no benefit to us. What bothered me most was how the situation was handled when I requested a reasonable partial refund (which I did have to request, this was never proactively offered to me). The host initially offered approximately 25%, later increasing it to 30%. After we had already checked out, she stated we “had the option of moving to another apartment” and that she would have provided a full refund had we chosen to leave. She pointed out that we instead “decided to remain in the apartment and complete” our stay. At no point did the host offer us alternative accommodations — in fact, she specifically said, “I do not have any alternative accommodation to offer you.” We were a family of four in Venice for only two nights. The suggestion that we should have packed up, found and booked another apartment ourselves, moved our luggage across Venice, and hoped to recover our money afterward is very different from actually offering a guest a reasonable alternative when an advertised major amenity isn’t functioning. Ultimately, we paid approximately $955 for two nights and received only $235 back, despite having no functioning A/C for either night. The apartment itself is well located. It is on the third floor with no elevator. The hosting experience was also noticeably less attentive than at the other apartments we stayed in during our European trip. Several of our other hosts personally met us, welcomed us and made sure we were settled. This host never met us.

Great fun and adventurous.

It was a little quirky and definitely a fun place to stay.

Nothing to really dislike, very warm and cosy.

Perfect place in Venice with rooftop patio and amazing views!!!

This was a great place to stay. Vaporetto stops right out front. Beautiful views from the rooftop patio. Amazing interior!!

Location was excellent for being away from the tourist hotspots and close to a water taxi stop. View on rooftop was cool

Great location, very close to a water taxi stop so getting there from the airport was easy! Rooftop view was awesome, host was easy to communicate with.

Beds were a little more firm than we usually like. Shower was small but manageable.
