I am so happy we experienced Riad Dar Shaeir on our first trip. The Riad was stunning and the owner, Salah, explained their loving process of restoration. They used skilled local craftsmen to restore what was a run-down building into a stunning sanctuary. The breakfast every morning was well done. Our hosts (Siham especially) went out of their way to get to know what we were looking for and made perfect suggestions.
We loved the roof deck.
Note - you cannot drive into the Medina, you can park north of the Medina and walk your luggage in.
We traveled with our toddler - in the times when our toddler was grumpy and needing her space, the one room felt small.

Beautiful building and nice breakfast. The people who worked there were great.
The key to the riad entrance was tricky to use.
