The owners have created a place of living Japanese history with every modern convenience.
We chose western beds which were very comfortable.
The rooms ( not room) are large and there are endless small touches including gifts to delight.
Mr Osaka and his team are exceptional hosts.
If you are offered a photo shoot take it!
Nothing, all is excellent.
You should note that the Ryokan is in a small quiet street and there is no street noise but it fronts on to the elevated highway so there is no “ view”. This was not a problem at all.

We had a large, well priced & comfortable room in a central location but where this Ryoken really shined was the very kind and attentive staff. Ozaki, Kumiko & Yuga were excellent hosts who not only made us feel very welcome, akin to staying with family.

This place is central to everything, very comfortable, and run by an absolute character who is one of the friendliest people in Japan. The room had real items from the Edo period! Don’t miss dressing up as a samurai in the makeshift studio. Exceptional value and an unforgettable part of our trip to Osaka
