We were upgraded to a larger room than the one we had booked. The room was clean, spacious and incredibly quiet. We wouldn't have known anyone else was staying there if we hadn't seen them in the lifts and lobby. The bed was extremely comfortable. As it is winter, we didn't take full advantage of the balcony, but it would have been lovely to eat out there in warmer weather.

Very well located. I arrived by the sky bus from the airport and it drops you off at the Southern Cross Station on Spencer Street. A 1km walk and you arrive at the Melbourne City Apartment. The free city circle tram is only 500 metres from your accommodation on La Trobe St. I enjoyed being slightly on the outer edge of the CBD, however not too far out that everything wasn't walkable.
I arrived at 10am and just assumed a bag check-in was my only option. Reception offered me an early check-in, and when I checked out they were fine to store my bag for the day as my flight wasn't until 7pm that evening.

Fantastic option for a Melbourne stay. I normally have a car so tend to stay further from the city, this was closer than usual for me but not right in the city. The area was very quiet at night and there was street parking right outside if I needed it. The room was very spacious, modern and clean. Train station is a ten minute walk away. The only minor downside is they do not have their own café or restaurant. There is one a very short walk away which was ok rather than great. This place will be my new default for Melbourne going forward.
