Pool area was fantastic and room comfortable. Location was also handy
Hallway on our floor had a weird smell and also the carpets were beyond dirty and aircon setting in room was not adjustable.

The reception staff were amazing, especially Catherine, who remembered us from a previous stay (3 years ago!) and made us feel very welcome! Nothing was ever too much trouble and were always met with smiles. The hotel pool, sauna and spas are excellent, and the general use areas on the mezzanine, level 9, 41, and 51 are beautifully presented with amazing views. The location is superb, trams at your doorsteps, as well as restaurants, cafes, Southern Cross Station and Coles supermarket a 5 min walk away. The rooms are great, beds are very comfortable, free Wi-Fi was surprisingly fast as there appeared to be an access point in the room (not down the hallway). Bathrooms were very clean and tidy, and having a washer and dryer was fantastic when travelling with a 2 year old. All the included appliances were good quality and well maintained. It's a big, busy hotel, but all elevators were working and move fast to avoid queues in the lobby.
No forks provided in the cutlery. The 2 seater couch was small and slightly uncomfortable. There were some pretty ugly stains on the carpet in the hallway of level 34, probably from a previous guest running to the garage chute.

We stayed at Aspire Melbourne for 2 nights. The location was great with the city circle tram just around the corner, close to the CBD but on the quiet end of town and we had great views across to Docklands. Loved the pool and spa on the ninth floor, we used it both nights. The staff were really helpful. We asked for an extra blanket on our second night and housekeeping delivered quickly.
The only minor critique would be the layout of the second bedroom. It had no windows and was oddly positioned - essentially just a bed tucked between two walls. A bit of artwork or lighting would go a long way in making that space feel more inviting.

The external hot tubs were great after a long day of walking in the city. Multiple bathrooms on the floor also made it very easy when the pool was busy. The rooms are small but very functional. The washing machine and dryer in the room was a great addition.
The customer service we received was almost non existent. During the check in process there was no friendliness to it. "I need your ID" no welcome to the hotel, or thanks for choosing Aspire or enjoy your stay with us. Not even a smile, instead a resting b**ch face. Check out was slightly better however based on customer service alone I wouldn't come back.
