We arrived later than anticipated. Our ride share dropped us off on an assuming street. We gained entry and walked up the steps to the entrance. Once we entered, we were amazed. The craftmanship of the home was excellent. The winding staircase, the quality of the finishing were wonderful. The room was appointed. The balcony opened up to the side yard. The bathroom windows opened up as well. In the morning, we went downstairs for breakfast. It was wonderful. Eggs or waffles made to order, assorted coffees, pastries, yogurt, fruits, bread, etc. Both Mark and Ana were wonder hosts. Ana was there in the morning and Mark was there in the afternoon. Both were so wonderful. Made our stay so comfortable. Both Ana and Mark gave us places to visit, eat and shop. They spoke about the culture of Porto and their true essence. They loved the city and it showed. Much respect to them both. Casa Kala should be on your radar for consideration if you are staying in Porto.
I wished they had an onsite laundry facility. However, we made due. There were local laundry places by foot but we just washed and hung dry the basics. No issue there.

Breakfast was absolutely great, and the room was super comfortable and quiet. The grounds were well maintained with areas to hang out and share a bottle of wine. Ana and Frank really made us feel at home with great hospitality and warm smiles.
There was nothing not to like.
