Loved the room with balcony. Really we were not there much during the day as we used to be residents of Barcelona so had a lot of things to do, friends to see.
The double room with a balcony seemed to be presented as a 'special request' after the fact of booking and we noticed that most of the others were not front facing. However we did get what we paid for but had to mention it. We did wonder if it had not been our wedding anniversary or hotel more fully booked would we have received a smaller, lacking in light room, which would not have been so great.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Market in Barcelona! The location is excellent, in a lovely neighborhood, close to many attractions and with easy access to the metro, making it very convenient to explore the city. The room was spacious, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. Everything was great, and we would definitely choose Hotel Market again on our next visit to Barcelona. Highly recommended!

Funky period hotel in a good location, very close to metro. Lovely restaurant with outside patio. Air conditioning in room was much appreciated. Room was simple but everything we needed.

Location for airport bus and sights
Soundproofing was poor. Couldn’t sleep in day but okay at night as. Saw coach roach but otherwise seemed clean
