Our stable room, overlooking the garden, was very comfortable, especially the bed. The room was warm with toasty underfloor heating in the bathroom. The shower was great and roomy. We arrived about an hour before check-in but were given our key as the room was ready, which was super helpful as we planned to be out for the rest of the day/evening. Breakfast and coffee were good, and everyone was very friendly. We were able to leave our car in the car park on the morning we checked out which was super helpful. Overall a great stay and we would stay again.
We cannot complain about the tight squeeze to fit our car through the car park entrance, given the age and character of the property, but our Lexus 300h only just seemed to fit! This was more than compensated for by the ease of having on-site parking, so close to the city centre. The trains running nearby didn't seem too loud, but were noticeable, if you're a light sleeper. They didn't bother me but my husband noticed them more.

A hotel with character and charm. Loved the old feel of it while rooms were renovated, spacious and warm. Lovely big bath and friendly service. Location is ideal if coming by train and also very accessible and close to the old city.
The hotel is on the high St. and next to the railway, and for some reason has a bountiful of noisy pigeons who must also love the house, so wasn't as quiet as I'd wished it to be. Have to mind your head on many places for ceiling is low. Wish there was a mini-fridge. A coffee machine in the room could also have been a nice touch.

This is the perfect Olde English Hotel, with old world charm in the breakfast room and sitting areas. I stayed in the converted stables, modern and comfortable with a sunny patio area. A hot breakfast was included and there was a kettle in the room. The location is very convenient, walkable to local attractions like the Cathedral. Canterbury West train station is a short walk away. I would stay there again.

The location was excellent, very close to the station and city centre as well as the relative we were visiting.
The staff on the reception desk were extremely friendly and helpful.
The garden and place to sit just outside our room. Umbrella provided to go between annex and main house.
Honesty bar.
Non-slip mat available for the shower.
Able to leave luggage for the day after checking out.
Free cancellation up to a couple of days before check in date.
Breakfast included.
The bathroom was rather tired with limescale visible round the shower door and tired grout round tiles. There was dust and bits along the top of the shaver point.
The loo brush wasn't very clean.
