The atmosphere of this place is hard to compare to any hotel/hostel I've seen! The common area is so personal, friendly and welcoming, but still professional and clean, well thought and maintained. I loved every minute spent in the dimly lit cosy kitchen with amazing views and huge windows to admire them. The space made it possible to mingle with other guests but didn't force it, there was enough space for everyone. There were cool photo albums to browse and decorative details - not ones you just throw in to fill in empty space, but uniqe and really fitting the mood. I find if very respectable that the electricity, heating and bathrooms (without fungus etc) were in great shape given it used to be a stable probably. Everything was well taken care of and comfortable. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. It's also literally ON the way around The Golden Circle, so if you're on this route, I wouldn't waste the opportunity to sleep here. Oh and the fabrics (bed linen, towels) were very pleasant, like old style cotton type. Small detail but made me feel at home and I didn't want to leave my bed in the morning!
Just that the walls were basicaly like paper. I could hear someone snoring so loud it woke me up even though I had earplugs. I wasn't even mad though, because I loved the place. Just know it if you need some privacy or have sleeping problems.

Nothing!

Beautiful location
Felt more like a dormitory. Shared bathrooms and not well insulated. We were lucky that only two rooms were occupied but had it been full it would have been noisy, qand total lack of privacy
