Quaint. Greta location. Friendly animals. Great Aurora view.

Kitchen area is a bit tight. Ladder going to lift is pretty steep.

Location was good.

Location is close to black sand beach. Loved the hospitality. Welcomed by dogs around was too cute and cool. The owner was vey helpful.

Room is small for 2. Other than that all was perfect

The location and the views from the window were outstanding. I liked the decor and home-like vibe of the kitchen. Amazing ceramic tiles on one of the walls. It's cool there were some less-waste solutions such as free food shelf and others. The beds were comfy.

I get it that it's a popular area, but the price we payed was much higher than everywhere else we stayed on The Golden Circle Route and the comfort was the lowest. The worst part (and the reason I was actually upset) was the bathroom. There is only one for many people and it shows - it smelled like piss and the shower cabin was basically yellow, I regret I didn't take a picture. Above it, on the ceiling, droplets stayed for hours, there is too much humidity, so there was black fungus or mold in the cabin too. I didn't take flip flops so I didn't dare to use it. Again- would accept my fate in a cheap place but it wasn't cheap. I've seen many hostels but it's one of the worst bathrooms. The room was tiny and one of the bed is next to a sloping wall so no tall people there I guess. No storage area. Last thing is we didn't meet any staff and sadly also none of the animals (3 or more) mentioned, which we have to admit, were one of the reasons we were excited to pick this place. We even got an email a day before arrival mentioning the dog there so perhaps even a bit disturbing that we didn't see a trace of him. I would stay there again but only if the bathroom was redone. Even for a higher price.
