Great view from our large window. Excellent Club service.

Drawers in our very large room would have been helpful to unpack our clothes from our cases. Didn’t discover the pedestrian access to the front of the hotel until our last day (vehicle access has no protected pedestrian path to street level).

Staff were helpful and friendly.

Location direct on the harbor is excellent but it’s a bit of a hike to Kowloon ferries

The hotel enjoys a great location, although we would have appreciated a room with a sea view\. Aesthetically, the property is very appealing, with an elegant and welcoming lobby, well\-appointed rooms and attractive bathrooms\. The staff were consistently kind, polite and generally very helpful, which we appreciated throughout our stay\. The terrace bar is particularly lovely and was one of the highlights of our visit\. We would especially like to thank Kelly for her warm and attentive service, as well as the genuinely pleasant conversations we enjoyed with her\. She added a lovely personal touch to our experience and made us feel very welcome. The swimming pool is not large but offers a lovely view on Hongkong Island.

Unfortunately, several aspects of our stay fell short of our expectations, particularly for a hotel in this category. Our biggest disappointment was the lack of a restful night’s sleep. Despite specifically requesting a quiet room, we were woken up between 2 and 3 a.m. on multiple nights by a generator starting up outside. For us, a peaceful and uninterrupted night’s sleep is a non-negotiable, especially at a hotel of this standard. On another night, two lights in our room suddenly switched on in the middle of the night, apparently due to a power outage. While we fully understand that power cuts can happen, being woken up around 2 a.m. by bright lights switching on unexpectedly is something we have never experienced in a hotel before and found quite disruptive. A few other aspects of our stay were also disappointing: * Bathroom facilities: We were surprised by the absence of a shattaf (hygiene spray) in the bathroom, something we have generally come to expect in hotels across Asia. * Chinese restaurant: The meat we were served was lukewarm. When we raised this, we were simply told that this was how the dish was intended to be served, which we found rather unconvincing. We were also informed shortly after 9 p.m. that the restaurant would be closing soon, apparently due to post-COVID regulations. This explanation felt somewhat odd and did not contribute to a particularly welcoming dining experience. * Bar terrace and drone show: We had specifically been advised to visit the bar terrace on Friday evening to enjoy the drone/light show. However, when we arrived, we were told that the terrace was closed for a private event. It was disappointing that this had not been communicated to us earlier, particularly as the visit had been recommended by the hotel itself. * Atmosphere and guest experience: On another occasion, a young woman was lying on the floor outside our room, chatting on her phone for approximately an hour.
