Very nice old fashioned hotel with a fabulous restaurant

The staff were great. The hotel allowed our dog. Breakfast was excellent.
The basement rooms are great but not much light. Didn't like the evening menu in the restaurant. Food was good but not a great choice for me.

Location.
Spacious suite.
Comfortable bed.
Good breakfast choice and cooked to order, not a buffet.
Limited parking at the front of the property.
Room a little tired looking and run down, needs a makeover!
Security on room door not very good (just a Yale lock).
Be good if breakfast started before 7.30, made things rushed for me.

Lovely location, nice grounds, decent parking. Good breakfast menu.
Smallish twin room, poor shower (which was over the bath with no hand holds), weak and constantly running hot and cold, bad smell in the room (which we did tell main reception about).
