Really good location, can walk to everywhere in Rye. Bed was really comfortable and hotel quiet

Staff were very helpful. Cooked breakfast excellent.
Building is obviously very old, which is the whole point of the town so allowances have to be made. Decor was a bit tired, even taking age of building into account but the property was actually in the process of being refurbished during our stay. Door locks a bit eccentric - it took 3 of us to work out one of them.

I would like to say that I have seldom been so happy. With my choice of accommodation! The OBA is a beautifully positioned old pub now being operated as a Bed & Breakfast with an adjoining Cafe. The owners and staff were lovely and efficient as well. They could not have been more welcoming. My room was comfortable, a good size and well fitted out. The en suite was a bit dated perhaps but more than adequate and the shower cubicle a good size. On top of all those positives the location, in Rye, was brilliant in that it sits at the foot of the hill near to a small car parking area that was easy to access and cost less than £10 for each 24 hours. I have already booked for next year!!
The water pressure in the shower was only modest not a torrent - but as issues go this didn't detract from my liking for the property as a great place for me to stay.

Some renovation going on but this didn’t disturb us too much.
