The property was a lovely traditional hotel just what we wanted! It was clean, comfy and the staff were very attentive. The location was also good.
Only thing we struggled with was opening the bedroom window but I wouldn’t say it was something we disliked.

The staff at the thistle are top notch. Friendly and helpful in getting you all sorted in Edinburgh. The hotel is cozy and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location is walkable to all major attractions.
It’s an older hotel with character, don’t expect more and you’ll be happy here.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Thistle hotel. The place has a lot of charm. The manager named Scott is really lovely and very helpful.
Nothing, there’s no lift however the manager carried all our bags up the stairs, thanks Scott!

Lovely period property
Shabby, poor repairs, bedroom carpet need a clean. Plumbing from other rooms extremely loud.

"This place is dirty, old and badly run.
Terrible for the reputation of Edinburgh!"
