We liked the period charm of this mid-Victorian house. Our bedroom was roomy and comfortable, with easy access to the spacious shared bathroom. Our host made us feel at home and provided a good choice of self-serve breakfast in the lovely dining room. The area is very pleasant and near interesting local attractions.
All good.

Chris was a wonderful host. Sorted gluten free food and soya milk for my wife and boiled egg, ham & cheese for me. Big clean room and comfortable bed.
Shared bathroom was strange but no real problem. Hot breakfast would have been nice but can understand not practical based on the small number of guests.

Very relaxing
Location and comfortable

Location was perfect. Chris, the host, was very accommodating and reactive to our requests. I think most of the positive comments for this property however have been for the rooms upstairs.
We paid more than we usually would for a basic two bed accommodation as we booked very last minute.
It felt like we were staying in accommodation that was someone’s home rather than a holiday let. Many of the drawers and cupboards were full of owners things. Some of the furniture had been heavily clawed by cats, and other bits were very tired. The apartment could do with updating. There was a lot of foliage around the windows, as a result we had so many mosquitos in the rooms and felt we could t sleep with the windows open. The stairs to the garden were extremely narrow and the area leading to the garden was very damp.
