A warm welcome with cosy, clean facilities. Staff made every effort to make our stay comfortable and convenient. The food was hale and hearty local, Scottish fayre. The bar had a friendly atmosphere used by locals, the log fire was exactly what was needed on a cold winters day. A great place to stay when exploring the area, outdoor activities or events.

Too much of an en-route stop to comment on location. Room was comfortable; oddly the bathroom was exclusive to the room, but across the corridor. Some rooms are in a guest-house next door which the hotel appears to have taken over. Best dinner of a 5-day trip; I am assured that the duck was excellent. Staff were cheerful and competent.
Did not bother us, but there is no lift if your room is on an upper floor.
