The staff were amazing, so helpful and kind. The meals were delicious. The lodge itself was simple and basic, but comfortable. The stairs were fine, but as the cruises were on the river, it was multiple trips per day, plus the additional 15 mins to the jetty. We saw orangutans from the lodge, who were waking from nesting for the night.

We loved the views, the tours, the food (of which Jason made great efforts to accommodate special requests as well as his wonderful culinary ability), the rustic charm of the room, and the intimacy of only 4 rooms complete with 3 adorable cats. The stairs are at first intimidating but got my time down to 8 minutes!
In general I would have liked to see more wildlife. During our stay we saw one Orangutan from our porch though none on the river nor elephants. The numerous boats tended to scare some sensitive animals.
