Lovely experience, onsen was great, staff were really welcoming and helpful. Location was good, but only if you’re ok with a walk up a steep hill, so not ideal for those with accessibility needs
The catered dinner and breakfast was a wonderful experience, with real effort put into courses and presentation.
It was probably a bit too authentic for me, but I also say that knowing we signed up for that and wanted to experience it. I’m a vegetarian so was grateful for them catering to me, as it was hard to find somewhere that definitely would. I think it could be enhanced as it felt quite samey and a bit dull at points, but my partner got to try lots of different things!

Breakfast and dinner were very delicious, just the right amount of food. Private onsen uses a sign-up sheet and because this place doesn't have lots of rooms, that also means you're not fighting a lot of other guests for the private onsen. 30 mins was just the right amount of time.
Location can be a bit difficult to get to since it's a little far from Gora with heavy luggage, but you can always ride the railcar for one stop.

The hotel is conveniently located near the Gora station, making it easy to get around. The service is excellent, and the food is absolutely divine. I particularly enjoyed the onsen baths, as well as the private bath available for 30 minutes each day with advance booking. The hotel has a quiet, peaceful atmosphere, making it a lovely place to relax.
The hotel feels a little dated in some areas, although it is well maintained. The room is also a little on the small side.
