It’s an impressive building located in a beautiful spot. The interior is classy and comfortable. The staff were friendly and tried to be helpful. My room was well- furnished.
The spa area was a bit of a let down: there was a small pool, a small sauna which people used without any towels to sit on and a whirlpool which fits about 4 people without embarrassment.
I was told by hotel staff the pool offered bath robes and I was told by the spa staff that the bath robes should have been in the room (which it wasn’t).
The shower gel in my room was as good as empty, as was the box of tissues.
The window sill in the conservatory, which houses the restaurant, was full of dead flies.
So all in all, this is an impressive place but housekeeping needs to up its efforts…

Beautiful building, lovely spa and great staff
The dining furniture is old and dirty which is a shame as the dining room is stunning. It could have done with a lick of paint. The cushions in the sitting room are old and lacking stuffing. I just feel like a few alterations and fairly cheap upgrades would make the inside match the outside!
