Top floor room with own large balcony. Fab views across the city. Location by the Vodelpark. Ease of transport.
The bathroom was cold and the shower design meant water went everywhere.

In general we had a good stay. The hotel is well located for trams into the centre and near to the beautiful Vongel Park. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. Everyone we met was very friendly and keen to help. The room was a decent size, and although overlooking a main road, the double-glazing meant it wasn't too noisy. The bed was very comfortable. We liked the eco approach.
However, the hotel is a bit 'style over substance'. The decor is bright and fun but some elements were not very practical. There were no drawers for example, the safe didn't work and wasn't fixed despite our asking twice during our 4 night stay. It seemed that the lovely reception staff were not well supported by technical management - a lightbulb had gone in our room and the plug in the sink didn't work, simple things that should have been checked during changeovers. We didn't have the breakfast but it looked expensive for what was on offer (then again, Amsterdam IS expensive). There is an excellent Turkish cafe opposite the hotel - Bere Nali - we went there instead.

Great location
Room was small, very tired and needs a refresh. Curtains were filthy, bathroom floor wasn't properly cleaned. I like the hotel chains principles on reducing waste but the shower being less powerful meant you were in it twice as long! No milk provided for the tea/coffee either.
