Poorly managed

The listing portrays a lovely retreat, however, the reality is underwhelming and we ultimately left early. Tone: Before arrival, we were greeted with patronising, heavy-handed instructions from the management company’s "Legal Department", punctuated with emojis and warnings including "strictly prohibited," "immediate cancellation," "risk of fine," and "failure to comply." And telling guests to "not stain the bed linen" was churlish at its best. Security and safety: There are no keys to lock the doors. Instead, guests are instructed to rely entirely on electrically powered rolling shutters to secure the house. The listing falsely claims there is a security alarm. A smoke alarm battery was dead. To top it off, they said they didn't use chlorine in the spa so we didn't use it as we felt it was unsanitary. Neglect: We encountered a broken patio door handle, a towel rack falling off the wall, a toilet roll bracket without the holder, a split outdoor plastic chair that was about to break, a rug that was black with filth, and rotten decking that harboured mosquitoes. Photographed but missing were two patio chairs, an electric kettle, and cushions. Management is quick to threaten guests with fines but they might consider channelling their efforts towards providing a welcoming, safe, clean, and honest stay.

Although it was clean and tidy, we would not stay there again as it was just too far out

The hot tub was great

I would have liked a kettle! There were no instructions how to use the coffee machine to boil water. It would have been nice if the host could have provided some more coffee pods other than just the 2! There was only 2 half rolls of toilet tissue and this was now enough for a 4 day stay. Also, only having. 2 towels was not enough for a 4 day stay. The toilet was very smelly and there was no bleach as it smelt badly of stale urine.

Lovely place to stop by!

The place in itself is a personal apartment/house yet the owner/host is extremely accomodating enough that the place is ready for you when you arrive! I'm talking bout AC on, everything is comfortable. I really love how exceptionally welcoming and accommodating our host was. It seemed like the owner has so much experience hosting that finding the place, checking in, and getting around was literally spoon-fed to you. It took our minds off the edge as for someone who isn't fluent in French. This is a private property, and it's really nice to have "a day in a life of someone living in a suburb of France"

Avoid at all costs

Covered parking.
