The checkin-checkout was a little weird. Like you had to go next door into a hotel's lobby.
Staff was really nice and friendly. Maybe that just how things are in parts of Europe.
I think they offered breakfast too, but I don't think it was free (it's been months since I've been there).
I got a private room, and I had no complaints about the room at least.
There were homeless people sleeping right next to the hotel. They didn't bother anyone, but it's still sad to see.
Also the location was not the best (at least for me).
There is a train station nearby with good access but unless you like walking up steep hills from there, it's not so fun.
Also there are no lifts so get ready to take the stairs.
But that's more of an all "I'm lazy and out of shape" gripes. If you're in better health you're fine (or even if you are little out of shape, you can just tough it out :) )

The hostel itself is great, very clean, comfortable beds. There is an outdoor garden and also cooking facilities. All in all, I will come back!
Regarding the location, it is close to the old town but very quiet. Also the metro station is very close and you can get anywhere you want.
See you soon again, I hope 😉

The room is very spacious, with very high ceilings and private bathroom. The addition of a desk and a reading chair is a nice touch.
The bed was also very comfortable.
You can hear all the noise from the street, since the walls are thin, and the windows aren't double panned either.
The Saturday i was there, there were two drunk people at 5 am speaking right outside the window, and it was so loud that even with loop earplugs, they woke me up. I had to step outside to ask them to move away.
The lighting in the room could be beter as well, and the room could do with a small reading lamp in one of the night stands

We really enjoyed having a private room with a small terrace. The staff were very kind and helpful, and we really appreciated being able to leave our luggage at the property until the evening at no extra cost, which allowed us to explore Porto comfortably before our departure.
Some parts of the accommodation, such as the doors and some of the chairs in the room and on the terrace, were a little worn and could use some maintenance. The beds were not the most comfortable either. Overall, it was a suitable option for a one-night stay.
