We chose this pub because it just were we wanted to be the accommodation is excellent, clean and comfortable I love the added fridge the breakfast was excellent set up for the day
Whilst we eat in the restaurant sorry to say the menus was not to our tastes, whilst we ordered steak and Stilton pie and fish and chips as other option were not for our taste not to say they were good or bad. My wife would have preferred just a steak or steak ale pie but not available so order the fish and chips fish was ok. I ordered the steak and Stilton with mash and veg pie was ok but not a fan of Stilton only real complain the beans were very hard but it’s a chef thing mash was excellent. I have had Sunday lunch here before and it was excellent may have just been a off day

The bedroom was in an annex set in lovely gardens, very comfortable clean and quiet

Big rooms. We were well looked after by Iain. Good food.
Not keen on the cat which seemed ever present wherever we were in the bar/ restaurant.

Breakfast was exceptional, tasty, freshly cooked, plentiful.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Nice touches in room, milk and water in fridge, decent tea/coffee
making facilities.
Comfy bed and room clean
