Friendly staff, good food, parking good.
Shame the decor in some of the public areas was shabby. Stair carpet to the rooms very worn and grubby.

Ideal location for us to visit Shepton Mallet antique fair
The staff very friendly and pub welcoming
Was hoping to get a roast dinner but didn’t tell us that they didn’t do it for the evening sitting which was disappointing as we asked for roast when booking and didn’t tell us it’s only lunchtime sitting
Also would prefer cooked breakfast

Staff seemed pleasant, Big car park, all rooms seem to be booked so they were busy.
Really worried on arrival when shown up through guests entrance and stairs, dirty entrance porch, worn/dirty carpet up stairs, Twin room was really small.
Tiny shower room and tiny shower cubicle. Heated towel rail came on after 8 a.m. when we had used shower, no way of getting any heat before that. Continental Breakfast was odd, help yourself cereals but that is it. It would have been nice to have some croissants or rolls, or a toaster and jams etc.and a coffee pot to help yourself to.
Waited some time for someone to appear and give us a mug of coffee each. Were not offered any choice of what was available, but did then get brought a plate that was very attractively done with croissant, bit of ham, cheese, pot of yogurt and berries/apple. A very busy pub, which on our stay was hosting a dinner for the local sports club. I hope they can get the carpet cleaned , or new entrance/hall carpeting soon. No one around to check out though I tried.
