Perfect central location within walking distance of all the attractions in town. Steve was a wonderful host, very welcoming and he cooked us the most delicious vegan breakfast. The room had a lovely view looking down over the high street and top of the church, both beds were very comfortable, good streaming services on the tv and a roomy power shower. Large public carpark opposite the building is cheap and easy to park all day and night very convenient. We would love to stay again.
Being an old building the floorboards and door hinges were very loud and creaky and with the thin wall between you and the next door guest every conversation and step could be heard enough to wake us both up. Luckily the other quests weren’t noisy themselves. If you’re not a light sleeper then you won’t be disturbed. Other than that this property and host deserves 5 stars

I stayed in April, and it was so lovely to be back in the same room, overlooking the High Street. The room is lovely: comfy bed, great bathroom, nice selection of teas & coffee...and the breakfast you want, delivered to your door! Absolutely fantastic! The stationers, downstairs, is well worth a visit, too...lovely shop!
Absolutely nothing to dislike about the place...only that the walls are thin, so if the people in the next-door room want their TV on loud, and you don't have yours on, you do hear every word...
That said, there is a sign in each room asking for quiet between 11 and 7, and that seems to work.
