Very welcoming and had everything required for our stay.
Was a little cold when we first arrived but soon warmed up.

A lovely traditional style hotel with a bar and restaurant. Our room was above the bar but we heard no noise at all.
The bathroom was was very nice too.
The breakfast was very tasty. The complimentary water, teas and coffe in the room was much appreciated too.
The room door was a little tricky with a Yale lock and separate door handle and there was a LOT of condensation on the windows in the morning.

Staff were polite and helpful. Lovely quiet location.
The standard double room was very clean with an excellent shower. However, There was not enough room for any bedside tables which was annoying and we had to put things on the floor.
Dinner was mediocre, good starters but the quality of the main courses wasn’t great.
The guy behind the bar removed the sparklers, it looked like for cleaning, from the beer pumps and it seemed the bar closed at 9 pm, it was quiet and we were the only people in the bar area so we called it a night and went to our bedroom. Not a great atmosphere, the tv was on but silent.
