Staff are friendly and welcoming. Breakfast ok, good coffee and generous size glasses of juice.
Location is good for walking access to the city but parking is a problem unless you can find a side street that’s not either residential or charged.
Our room was too small for two adults for 4 nights. It was dusty, the windows wouldn’t open at all/ fully, the shelf above the sink meant you bang your head trying to wash your face or rinse your mouth as the sink is too small.
Bathroom not thoroughly clean, especially the window sill.
Scruffy stairwell and paintwork.
There isn’t adequate space for clothes so we had to leave our things in our cases.
The coffee machine was not clean, and mugs we used for tea were not washed up ready for the next day.
I get that this is pub-led as it’s a pub with rooms but it’s a shame the rooms are not better looked after as the staff are great and the pub is nice.
