Great old pub with loads of history

We stayed at Hadley Bowling Green Inn while visiting family in the area. It's a beautiful old pub with lots of charm and character.
Chris and the team were fantastic, really friendly and welcoming. We were usually out all day visiting family and would get back around 10pm. We had some great chats with Chris while he was cashing up for the night, which was a lovely way to end the day.
Breakfast was great too, and we really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay again next time we're visiting family.

What a find! So impressed, it’s hard to know where to start. Chris and his entire team were absolutely amazing, nothing was too much trouble and they were genuinely lovely. It’s steeped in character and history; Guy Fawkes met his co-conspirators here and Elizabeth I played bowls on the green. We sat in the sunshine and watched some bowling matches with a drink. Perfect!
We had a lovely lunch on arrival, dinner that night, and a fantastic breakfast before we left. Rooms were comfortable and spotless, and our dog was very welcome. Plenty of free parking and surrounded by countryside. We loved it, and will definitely return. Thank you to Chris and his awesome team for a wonderful experience.
