Me and partner stayed in the room with a lovely view of the Suleimaniye Mosque and Ataturk Bridge (9 level sea view room). We have upgraded the room to have this wonderful view, and it was worth it.
The rooftop restaurant offers you an amazing view of Istanbul.
The breakfast is very good, we loved the selection: vegetables, fruits, breads, etc.
The location is great: the Halic tube station is literally 5 minutes walk, we also used the ferry from
karakoy station which is 8 minutes walk. Actually if you are fit enough you can walk to Galata Tower, Istiklyal street, Taksim square, Egyptian Bazaar, etc, all the major touristic places (as we did).
Yes, it is a noisy area, but it’s unavoidable (you simply can’t expect silence in such busy areas where is a lot of all types of public transport around, all the tourists walking till the late night).
I def would recommend Golden City hotel if you are looking for the great location with a reasonable price.
It was an enjoyable stay.
