Easy access from main travel route, good breakfast, comfortable bed. Fair rate.
The lift was not working, which we didn't know until we reached it. The evening desk staff was not particularly helpful and bar staff was in absentia for 15 minutes or so.
One of rooms smelled strongly of damp carpet and there was some mold in the bathroom. His request for a new room was quickly filled with no problem.

Smart hotel and room, breakfast good. Staff good.
Location for me as I used train/bus - it was very difficult to get to without a car. Phone locator couldn't find it either!
Toilet dripped.

No vegetarian gluten free meals at Cooks kitchen
At breakfast I was given potato cakes which contain wheat. I'd had conversations with the waiter about my need for a gluten free meal. When raised, apologies were given for a 'simple mistake '. It's not a simple mistake when you serve up food that can make a person really ill
