Macdonald Crutherland House

The staff, were extremely helpful. The beds very comfortable.

Property undergoing upgrade, as a bit tired.

Loved the location, staff couldn't do more to help. Gym and pool are fantastic. Right next to Calderden park which is fantastic for great long walks.

We were in a room at the back on the second floor and from 0600 there was a back kitchen door which was constantly slamming shut all, day, long!! Super annoying when you are there trying to relax and sleep beyond your normal work schedule alarm time! Our room was also right beside a double door (fire door) which was a major thorough fair from the second floor. Those doors also banged, so we had a double whammy of doors slamming. £12.50 for a cocktail....... this is Glasgow, not London. Hotel is a bit dated but there was a decorator in doing some work.

Staff were all very friendly, spa facilities were excellent. Lunch was very good, The room was lovely and extremely comfortable, the two double beds in the twin room were a nice surprise and the condition of the room more than met our needs. Didn't have breakfast or dinner due to a private celebration. The whole experience was superb

1. Doors locked- denied entry at 2.35.A group of 3 couples- 1 with children and a tradesman were unable to gain entry.A passing membefr of staff opened the door for us. 2.The receptionist with a tatoo on her chest has an attitude problem. She requires additional customer service training.I asked for a bathrobe was sent between the spa and reception - she left reception not telling me where she was going or how she was going to resolve my issue.Another receptionist answered my queries. 3. No knowledge of redecoration.Ground floor access to Spa had a very strong odour.Woyld not have booked if new this was happening. See pictures. 4. Expect rooms to be tired, we had a large crack in her sink in the ensuite. See pictures. 5. Breakfast- wrong order arrived.
