Glasgow Westerwood Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort

Big bedroom, good facilities, bar/breakfast area and reception done to a beautiful high standard!excellent breakfast (probably the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had) and excellent staff, Joanne at breakfast was great and made our stay.

Bedrooms and ensuite a bit tired and dated, swimming pool and changing rooms could do with some TLC and deeper cleaning, ensuite was very cramped and shower was tiny with damp from failing sealant.

Even though this hotel was fully booked on Saturday 24 October 2026 it had a fantastic atmosphere about it. Staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a homely feel about it. We had breakfast and thought the selection was very good. We also ate in the hotel on the Saturday night due to the Storm Boelo and the food was lovely. We used the leisure centre, swimming pool, sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi. Plenty of parking outside the front of the hotel and at the leisure club side too. We did not have time for a spa or too play golf due to the storm. so cannot comment on these.

Jacuzzi was very small, due to the amount of adults in the leisure club I would suggest that you think of installing a bigger seated jacuzzi. The lounge seating beside the jacuzzi some of it sits too close to the edge of the small pool. It would be easy to lose your footing on the tiles as you attempt to walk past. The shower in the twin room we had, had a very high step up into it. Health and Safety risk if someone lost there footing attempting to get into it or out of it. Something to think about when renoveting the bathrooms at some stage.

Food was lovely, excellent service. Room clean and comfortable. Polite and helpful staff.

The car park for was very full and the spa quite crowded compared with last time but not too bad, no issues. The bathroom is pretty small compared with other 4* hotels Fairly expensive at £181 for a 12-hour overnight stay for 2

The room was lovely and clean. Very comfy bed and good shower.

The pool facilities and spa was very disappointing we were expecting it to atleast be clean but it was very dated and was visibly unhygienic. Not exactly happy with the amount of money spent on our stay but overall was decent, wouldn’t be back
