Very elegant hotel, tastefully decorated. The room was large with a balcony. The pool at the top of the building was an interesting experience, we enjoyed it very much. The location is great, walking distance from the Guggenheim museum.
The parking situation is not the easiest in that area of Bilbao. We did not book the parking in advance and had to find parking on the street, far from the Hotel, but that was our mistake.

It’s a beautiful hotel and the breakfast is lovely. It’s a great location.
The lift was broken for most of the stay which was a challenge. I also think that the price of the rooms should include breakfast without that being an additional charge. The price is already high. While the rooms are lovely they are not massive or hugely superior to other places I’ve stayed.

The hotel is in a great location walking distance to the Guggenheim, situated in a lovely park with a play ground at the back and within a pleasant residential area on the river. We booked a Master Suite which was spatious and included all comforts one might expect. Gym, sauna and the mini-pool added to the enjoyment. Breakfast was good. The lounge was good and we particularly loved the Bar-Restaurant with incredibly friendly staff and great food. After a week of emjoying predominantly basque meals, we also appreciated a more international menu. Parking was easy.
Everything started so well. Upon arrival, we received a letter highlighting the benefits of the room category we had booked, including concierge service. We also found a handwritten welcome note in our room explaining that the entire team was at our disposal to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Unfortunately, our final evening completely changed our impression of the hotel. We wanted to finish our trip with dinner at a restaurant with some atmosphere and a broad enough menu to accommodate everyone in our group, including a child and family members who do not eat fish or seafood. At around 4pm, I asked reception to make a reservation for a particular restaurant I had found online for 9pm. The receptionist called but received no answer. I suggested that I would head to the pool and that they could update me later. By 7pm, having heard nothing, I returned to reception. The receptionist explained that nobody had picked up the phone. Three hours had passed without any update. She said she would try again. This time she got through immediately, only to discover that the restaurant was fully booked. I then asked for help finding a similar restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere and a varied menu. When I returned at 8pm, I was told that various alternatives had been tried without success and that a reservation had finally been secured at a restaurant which turned out to be heavily focused on fish and seafood, with only two non-fish main courses. The website offered little information and no photographs of the setting. This was not remotely what I had asked for. I explained my disappointment with the level of concierge service to the quality manager, he responded by asking where I had seen any mention of concierge in the first place. I was genuinely taken aback. I told him I was certain I had seen it in the information provided in our room and that I would go and retrieve it. His response was that he was leaving for the day and going home. Lasting impression.....
