Location was perfect, in the heart of Queen St Mall and accessible to everything. Definitely come here to stay if you want location but don't expect too much.
The rooms were very outdated with a stuffy bad smell. The bedside table was broken and there were rips in chair seats etc. Very old, very run down. I've stayed at 3-4 star hotels that's better condition. Definitely not Intercontinental standards. Understand that they are planning a major renovation but still not acceptable to have broken glass side tables, especially for a family with a toddler.
The service of the staff is also only passable at best. The staff at check in was not warm or friendly. He couldn't find my booking because there was a problem with the name on system and he seemed annoyed the entire time. Our room also wasn't cleaned when we came back to the hotel, and when questioned, the staff that was cleaning our level said our room wasn't on his roster. He ended up cleaning it up in the end which we are grateful for as we needed to nap our toddler.
