Let us face it this is a great hotel, I've stayed many times in St Helier and this should be one of the premier on the island and it did briefly meet expectations. The room was huge, the bed great, location second to none and shower fantastic it was on course for 10/10 top notch but..............
The works, the hotel was fully scaffolded up with protective sheets etc, no problem so long as the hotel keeps guest away from the exact proximity of the building work. but they really dropped the ball here.
My room came with its own builders right outside the window looking in an using hammer drills for a good few hours, whilst I'm sure there is someone on the earth who'd enjoy this as a kitsch art installation for me this was not okay.

Great location, free parking, excellent restaurant/ bar
Comfortable room with good aircon.
Good shower and bath towels.
Occasional variation in room housekeeping.

Location and staff were great
On-going building work with no forewarning, rooms are very tired and worn with lots of little bits of damage and whilst not a major issue as it was barely used but the tv crashed and went out of synch regularly.
