Luxurious honeymoon destination. The staff were very pleasant. We loved our room and the wonderful view out to sea.
We preferred the food elsewhere in Watamu. But breakfast was very good, and Hemingways was an ideal base from which to hop in a tuktuk or stroll along the beach to plentiful restaurant options nearby.
8 / 10Excellent·Oct 2026
Excellent location, wonderful room, very nice view, friendly staff and clean.
1. Missing 4pm Tea service (as in similar calibre Resorts. It brings guests together and is a nice touch to the place).
2. Breakfast was excellent, Dinner variety not up to par with Similar calibre resorts).
3. Missing Entertainment on Saturday night eg music, dance shows etc it allows people from diff part of world to mingle.

The room was clean, spacious, and had a beautiful ocean view. The entire place had a very calm and relaxing atmosphere, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The staff was exceptional—warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Overall, it was a peaceful and lovely experience.
The food could definitely be improved. While the overall experience was very enjoyable, the quality and variety of the food did not quite match the high standard of the hotel and its excellent service.
