Clean, quirky apartment in great location!

Lovely apartment in great location. Very clean! Great communication from host.

Can be a bit noisy at night as there are restaurants on the street but this did not bother us too much.

Stay somewhere else, grotty and not cheap!

The location.

Be careful when booking, the listing confuses apt 1 and apt 2. Apt 1 has 2 bathrooms, apt 2 has 1 bathroom, however the listing states that the apts have 2 bathrooms, it does not state till after booking which apt you have. I was expecting a 2 bathroom, when I arrived to find I only had 1 bathroom I called the owner, he was not at all helpful, in fact he was quite sharp with me and said it was my fault. Other reviews have stated the same issue, the listing is mis-leading. You have to climb four flights of stairs to reach apt 2, not easy if you have mobility issues or are a more mature holiday maker. It was quite scruffy, the bathroom had black mould, a foul smell and an infestation of black fruit flies. It had no shelf to store toiletries, I had to put mine on the dining table. The bathroom door has glass windows so offers no privacy, the door also did not close. The sink was tiny, smaller than a face and the tap took up half of the sink, to wash your face you bang your head on the mirror and give your feet and the floor a good soaking. The shower was tiny even for a woman, you burn your back on the taps and the old shower curtain is useless for keeping the water contained in the very old fashioned shower tray. There was no air-con, fans are provided but are not much use in summer. One of the bedrooms had a window in it, which looks straight into the living room, so again no privacy. The bedrooms were very small, more like walk in closets, not even enough room to walk at the sides of the beds to get in, you have to shuffle up from the bottom. There are not enough plugs, there was an extension lead in the kitchen, not ideal! The beds were rock hard, they made my shoulders and hips sore. The noise from the street was ridiculously loud and rowdy until around 2am, as there a 4 popular restaurants directly outside the apt. I could not wait to get home just to get some sleep. The T.V. has only 6 Portuguese channels, nothing in English. £500 for 3 nights. Appalling!!!!

Excellent location. Very central. Two bathrooms was excellent. Cool interior (temperature) clean bed linen and towels

Building directly next door is being demolished. (Noisy). Entrance hall is very uninviting/disrepair. Duct tape repairs on woodwork inside.
