Wonderful welcoming hosts, quiet spaces and a unique room design that has modern elements to the traditional ryokan style, but with full bathroom amenities in the room. Big highlights are the included breakfasts and dinners, and the private rooftop onsen bathing. It was gorgeous, and utterly relaxing.
The pillows were a little hard for me (traditional) but the futons were so very comfortable and warm

The futons were very uncomfortable. I had to use the spare they had in the closet as a topper to lessen my back pain after the first night.
Room did not match the photo shown on Booking.com when booking it. It was very small and luggage took up almost half the room even without another person. You also have to bend to enter since the door is short.
Hotels usually have checkout time of 11am if you check in at 3pm, but it was 10am at cyashitsu with an extra fee to make it 11am.
There were no private rooms for breakfast, it was served at the front where the entrance is. Asked if they offer room service and was told no. You also have to schedule breakfast since they only have 2 tables. Again, room service would be useful.
No laundry available and rooms do not have phones to reach the front desk.
