Superb breakfast. Staff were attentive and entertaining as well as very efficient and friendly
Parking could be a bit tricky, but there was always somewhere within a very short distance

Friendly and welcoming staff. Delicious food. Warm rooms. Comfy bed. Perfect place to start or end a day of exploring Hadrians Wall. After a long day of travel on a cold night it was the perfect place to recharge and relax in warmth and comfort.

Breakfast was lovely and plenty of choice. The room was snug but very comfortable.
The staff were brilliant as were the locals. We witnessed the staff going above and beyond the call of duty in helping a couple whose car had broken down, arranging lifts from the locals/staff to get them reunited with their car.
We ate there both evenings and the food was very good.
Very close to Hadrians wall, and we had an interesting walk to a local castle worth a visit. You need to book in advance as it is part of a working farm.
Food service in our 2nd evening was a little slow. Our food was brought after a table who had ordered much later.
