Amazing apartment in a fab location

Amazing location

There was a lot of noise (dance music from about midnight to 4am) and it disturbed various members of our party’s sleep

> Location was very nice and central, close to the beach. > air conditioning in the apartment. > apartment was perfect equipped with everything you need. The host left some wine/ water for us as well. > Netflix was available.

Horrible communication with the host!

Nothing! Do not book this apartment! Announced us to check-in at 3:45pm 1h30 before, even though it was listed AFTER 4pm

We didn’t even get to stay there! The host cancelled on us last minute! The day before i talked to the host and said we were already in Cannes (so she knew not to hurry necessarily) and she told us she didn’t know the check in time exactly, it depended on the previous guests. Offically, on the Booking page of this apartment it said: Check-in AFTER 4pm. We took this hour as a guide and planned a full day before checking in at this apartment. We were told then (the day of the check-in, 2:08pm) that at 3:45pm we have to come to grab the keys. Basically to drop our reservation for the day and come in an 1h30min. We were very far away and wouldn’t have been in time. The host insisted that we come at 3:45pm because they had other checkins. We offered to come after the keys wherever they were, asked if they could leave them somewhere and the answer was still no. I could not believe that an apartment in the centre of Cannes, a very expensive area, didn’t have a lockbox for the keys or some option. When we finally arrived back after another 1-2hours and said we were going to come after the keys in 5 minutes, the host saw the message and didn’t say anything, and i received a notification from Booking saying it was cancelled. We could not believe it! I tried calling the host to get an explanation, texted, nothing in response. We had to book quickly something else with our last money because the host was unresponsive.
