This hotel is all about the location - sitting high on the. top of a steep hill with views direct looking at the majestic Mt Kinabalu . The fresh mountain air through room window . The main restaurant at bottom of hotel does not serve alcohol but the more casual "Hauss" cafe style place outside does - wine , beer , cocktails. Good base to explore the Kinabalu Park , Poring Springs etc .
To be honest the floor we were on - 8th- was looking a little tired . A fresh light colour of paint and some new carpet would make it look ten times better . The room sizes were good - big comfortable beds - good linen. Bathrooms fine too - overall a little dated , but clean and comfortable - and the view of Mountain awesome .

The staff were really great and went above and beyond - helped us with recommendations and they booked a taxi for us for a day trip to Poring Hot Springs. We stayed in a chalet and the views of Mt. Kinabalu were incredible. There were two cafe/restaurant outlets and we loved Hauss and it's vibe.
A shuttle run to and from Kundasang centre would be very helpful, considering it's a very steep incline/decline and a 20 minute walk. The bathrooms could do with a little bit of a refresh.

Nothing we didn’t like. I think possibly some hallways could do with a repaint and new flooring but it was clean and we enjoyed the stay
