It was like an oasis in the busy city. We loved the historic story behind it being the last surviving free standing Dutch villa. Had the best sleep of our 2 month SE Asia trip. Easy walking to town center. Beautiful grounds, great saltwater pool and the most gracious and kind hosts with Sean and Natasha. Elizabeth prepared great local breakfast and meeting her daughter Rose really made us feel like family Sean and Nastasha also provided a wealth of information about the history of the area

The place is charming with its gardens and seating areas. The breakfasts are really amazing and they’ll cater to your preferences. Everything is comfortable and staff goes above and beyond. Would highly recommend!
It is a little far—but not so bad 15-20 min walk depending on which area your going to, but Grab is cheap and easy.

The staff and owner are extremely hospitable and helpful. The location was great, not too far from Jonker but also filled with eateries and shopping malls within walking distance. Have a wonder welcome treat that is very delicious. Melaka is definitely more than just Jonker street and this location provides a mix of both especially for people who would like to explore other parts of Melaka and staying in a nice nostalgic Dutch house.
Maybe the painwork of the house needs some upgrading and touchup due to intense humidity but otherwise it probably blends it into the historical building nature.
