The location of the hotel is perfect, right in the middle of town, lots of the historic places to visit an easy stroll, good food places close to hand as well and the parking behind the hotel adequate - good breakfast and great hosts - overall a good hotel experience in a lovely part of Scotland
The shower was a little temperamental - difficult to get right temperature and the drain from the shower blocked a little - these were manageable.

Bed was comfortable.
We were told that breakfast was served between 7.30 and 8.30 am, which in practice meant that guests had to have had their breakfast before 8.30 - we were refused a coffee refill at 8.40am because he'd finished serving.
The room was cold, the radiator didn't work.
The shower tray was blocked, filled up with water.
The handle on the toilet cistern fell off several times.
